This is one of a handful of classy historic hotels near major rural attractions in Japan. A real old fashioned high-end style and treatment that makes you think you're in the 1930s. The location is convenient to the Nara Park where the historic attractions are located. It is not in walking distance of either train station.

Excellent service for everything! Enjoyed dining and professional service attended to the hotel guests. Located across from Nara Park where deer were freely roaming. I often saw a deer family walking around in the property, too. Highly recommend this hotel to experience a quiet and courteous nights.

So far it's the best place (out of five) I've stayed in Japan on this trip. Hotel is very comfortable and inviting with interesting history. Rooms are well sized and well designed making out stay really pleasant.
