Bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished other fixtures fittings and furniture worn, wallpaper in need of sticking down in places very drab and unappealing colours for bedspreads. Bedding clean comfy bed. Can't understand why a one bedroom apartment for 2 people came with 2 single beds in the living room wasn't comfortable sitting watching TV also why 3 cups etc when the unit could sleep 4

Very grateful to the lovely receptionist who allowed us to check in early and check out an hour late. The room was clean and tidy, well presented, very comfortable and warm. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The Senator is a nice hotel on the Waterfront in Gisborne. It is walkable to the central business district. We enjoyed our stay there, and found the people who own it to be very hospitable and willing to assist.

Karen was polite, room was clean, view was excellent. However, shower curtain around the bath a bit dated & noise from road sweeper early hours of the morning, woke us up. Very enjoyable stay, would highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We booked to break up our trip home and it was well worth it! The room was lovely and comfortable and it was nice to just buy dinner not far come back and just relax for the night and watch a movie. Will definitely book again

The best in Gisborne.
Absolutely beautiful accomodation right on the riverfront in Gisborne. Easy walking distance to the CBD, and also right across from the Coastal Walkway which runs out along the beaches. Room was really clean, smart and comfortable. 2 beds in lounge, with larger bed and another TV in a separate bedroom. Easy on site parking outside room. The best place to stay in Gisborne hands down!

Our unit was very spacious and afforded excellent access and maneuverability for my wifes power wheelchair, If I had any negatives, it would just be the parking, as the car park out side our unit was often used by other guests.
