"We stayed at the beautiful Ceylon Olive villa with our family, 2 adults, 2 children (9 and 13) for a week during our recent trip and enjoyed it to the fullest. Kumudu and his team were amazing and always friendly, attentive and helpful. For example, our oldest turned 13 during our stay and they provided a lovely celebratory breakfast for her with balloons, decorations and cake. "Fantastic 150 year old house with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths. One of the most beautiful places we ever stayed. Furnishings are beautiful. Great pool. Great breakfast. Great caretaker, Mohan, also a very good chef preparing dinners for us. The owner stopped by and was extremely helpful. "

"The room was smaller than advertised. Didn’t have a much space. The bathroom was stylish but the shower drain didn't work and flooded the bathroom. Also no hot water from the shower. What saved it a bit was the friendly hotel manager and the nice beach lounge across the road. "

"The breakfast menu al la carte was amazing!!! Great coffee , excellent service and facilities. Great location within the fort. No tv in room but isn't needed. Rooms are large with a desk and sitting area. Bathroom beautiful with claw foot bath, spacious shower area. Pool area is lovely for a quick dip. Staff go above and beyond. Top pick for accomadation."

"Weird stafff who seem confused by basic requests. Aggressive manager who appeared at my door shortly after check-in to discuss ‘things’ and proceeded to engage me in a strange and circular conversation which included questioning my English language skills (?). WiFi, needed for an urgent and specific request, not working, with no attempts to address or fix this. Rooms have no glass windows so it’s very dark unless you open the door to everyone - makes the AC redundant as a result. Not good value...

"The staff were so friendly and attentive. Helped us get a taxi to the airport and allowed for a late checkout, since no one was staying in our room after us. The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset, breeze and watch the people walking on the fort paths. "
