"Hotel and staff are really friendly ensuring that we had a great stay. Great location right near jungle beach, which the staff offer a free shuttle service to. The breakfast is really nice and the property overlooks great views of Galle lighthouse. PickMe offers cheap Tuk Tuks/taxis to unawatuna/ galle. Overall had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend! "

"We enjoyed staying two nights at Sun N Sea in early April. We enjoyed both the view of the beach/ ocean as well as the food. We were able to walk along the beach and into town easily. The manger helped us find a store which sells a computer charger. We had accidentally left ours at home. The beds were very comfortable and we all enjoyed surfing lessons."

"This was a beautiful resort - the rooms were spacious, impeccably clean and all the staff were friendly and hospitable. The breakfast buffet is yummy and so is the dinner buffet. I liked that there was a pool on the property but also the beach was easily accessible. There was only one concern that came up - the first night I arrived to check in, all the rooms were full and I was unable to get my room on a higher floor as expected. Staff tried their best to be very accommodating and moved me as soon as possible, especially Kalum at the front desk - thank you for helping to sort this out and ensure I had a great stay in Unawatuna. "

"Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. This was reported to the front desk and repairs were attempted, but not done properly. So, the room still smelled BAD. Also, the workman left a BIG mess. I had to go to the front desk to ask to have it cleaned. While the manager was interested in our stay, all he did was provide a late day fruit plate! No thanks. Avoid this place. It is over priced for what you get. One of my worst stays ever."

"We loved our stay here. Our accommodation was superb and the staff were even better. The proximity to the small beach is the most striking feature with the glorious Indian Ocean constantly breaking waves within yards. As others have said you can’t swim off this beach due to the rocks but it’s fantastic nonetheless. The internet at the property is a bit patchy and our room had no tv but it took us until day 3 to realise this, which says it all. Special mention to the staff who were constantly smiling, helpful and professional."

"Location and overall appeal of the hotel is great. Some staff are really good and helpful. Most are courteous but the language barrier makes it super hard at times. Front desk was the worst and there was a huge gap in requests made to them and getting those executed by the staff. Cleanliness needs a WHOLE LOT to be improved on. In every room and every aspect of bathrooms. "
