The location is convenient to all the best areas of Florence including oltrarno, where the hotel is located, the station, and all the important monuments. My room had a view of the Arno, a great value for the price.

Excellent property but who I have to give credit to is the receptionist Eduina who waited for me until I got to the hotel from train station. She was welcoming and gave me excellent recommendations on dining options around the hotel. As the initial face and representative of the hotel she demonstrated the high quality and excellent standards of Relais II Cestello. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Firenze. Thank you, Eduina!

It's in San Frediano, the best little-known district in Florence. It's ten minutes or less to everything you want to do, including museums and the train station. Eduina, the manager, was friendly and helpful. I'll never stay anyplace else in Florence.

We were greeted at the door by an energetic young women named Eduina. She quickly took our suitcases into the hotel and checked us in for a four night stay. Each day she looked after us, She made sure all of our needs were met. Making certain our stay was comfortable. I absolutely loved my stay here! It is convenient to the train station (maybe about 10 min walk) and it’s about a 15 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, and maybe 20 min from the Duomo. It’s super convenient and ideal for local restaurants, gelato, and sightseeing. Eduina was amazing and helped me out with planning day trips and was super friendly and attentive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Can’t recommend enough for a small hotel feel in a local Florence neighborhood.

Excellent experience

My stay was amazing. The room was excellent, comfy bed, clean with a window for air. What l liked best was that this unique hotel had a fantastic host Edwina who took care of me suggesting places to go see and authentic Italian restaurants. I loved the breakfasts and chats with her and others guests. A very positive energy with great service. Thank you for a memorable experience in Florence for the first time. I highly recommend this hotel .

good hotel in quiet area

the hotel was clean rooms a little dated but clean and functional and very quiet. Reception was very helpful gave a great recommendation for dinner. I would stay there again.

this is my third time at Cestello and I will be going back in few weeks. It's a good hotel that is run very nicely by the manager Valeria. Really great. Good wi fi , good breakfast. I m recommending it.

Miss Eduina is the clear difference maker! Her overwhelming service, her ambition to provide the best customer experience and her problem solving skills made our stay a clear highlight in Florence. She gives the hotel a soul, without her it would only be a place.

Property was very clean and nice location. Staff were very friendly but didn't speak english so it was difficult to communicate. We weren't sure about where the breakfast was since it wasn't in the small reception area. Wifi didn't work in our room.
