"The Ocean view room, had a ocean view. The staff was courteous but for the price paid, I felt the room was quite dated. No microwave in the room, if you want to heat up some food ( The town was almost dead at 7pm, with few dining options). No phone USB chargers as well. I would be okay if this was costing half of what I paid. "

"We had to upgrade our room because our “mountain” view room was on the first floor looking at the back yard with air conditioner unit. Staff was accommodating but we had to pay more for the upgrade. The toilet was commercial grade like they install at department stores, super LOUD. We ended up not flushing at night, because it was waking up the dead! Parking was free in the street across the hotel, otherwise, valet parking was $36 per day. Overall, the stay was nice. "

"Cozy unit with a good location. 40 minutes from volcano national park. Close to downtown Hilo. Be sure to try Hawaiian Style Cafe around the corner and Pineapples. Ohana Ranch is a great place for quad rides & some Hawaiian history. Vivian was a great host. Always available to answer any questions. "

"We had gotten there and I noticed I was getting bitten and I found multiple fleas in the apartment and I’ve left with many flea bites on my back, legs, and feet. They say they’ve never had any flea problems prior, I am just wondering why it happened now and what they are going to do about it. "

"Pros, are it has a decent size lanai, it was clean, except for the stove, couldn’t cook on it because the burner tops were not appealing due to crud and rust and the side of stove was in bad shape.Con’s: tried to update by just painting the counter top and bathtub in bathroom which was peeling paint.No info in unit to explain anything about pool or laundry facilities, the whole complex is very dated and needs a lot of repair and updating, took one look at the pool and decided to not swim, poor communication as to what building we were in and no parking instructions, we had to do all the leg work and research on all this on our own."
