"Very welcoming staff. Rooms clean , functional but very tired, holes in curtains and bed linen. Hot water in bathroom and very quiet accommodation. Dinner was expensive for what it was, asked for green veg and hot cold broccoli. Breakfast minimal but fresh. Reasonable price but hidden cost of paying to park. Would be much better for a little renovation "

"Didn’t have breakfast due to an early flight but hotel was very clean and modern. Car park having works done so had a bit of a walk with cases to reception. "

"Parking very easy till we booked in and were asked to pay £14, this was not mentioned on the hotel advert with Expedia nor on the email confirming the booking. After some debate with reception the guy borrowed our phone to show us where it was, not under this hotel but scrolled down another half dozen pages and showed us it the parking charges in the general terms and conditions, while scrolling saw the booking charge had dropped by £20, so suggested they took the parking charge out of this, manager finally got involved as we were not happy."

"A pleasant and relaxed stay in this comfortable hotel. Staff very attentive. Good a la carte dinner and substantial breakfast. Quiet surroundings. Shame there wasn't better views of the grounds but that is the layout of the house."

"Breakfast was fine. Staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Very disappointed that we were not advised in advance there would be major building construction at the hotel. More so right outside our window. In addition to having carpentry work on the doors with tools blocking the corridor inside. A strange phenomenon was the toilet. My wife and I both disabled found it near impossible to flush the toilet. The flushing button was difficult to access and use especially at night. "

"The house was under refurbishment and new ownership but this did not affect my stay at all. It is well placed for trams and rail links, and main roads. I was able to travel in from Chester area and around South Manchester without going into the centre of town. Lovely walks along the Bridgewater Canal and plenty of places to get a bit of shopping nearby. Very comfortable and well furnished, reasonably priced, a welcome change from hotel chains with no individual character. Would recommend."
