"The best boutique hotel in Dubai! Highly recommend if you are looking for the real old Dubai experience! Perfect immersive atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. Flowers, birds and perfumed air right next to the water. Very friendly and attentive staff in all of the areas, from reception to the restaurant! I'd love to mention of all them but I lost the list of names I could say that the service was as close as the one I got at St. Regis!!! Great breakfast options with a very extensive menu, a lot of nice local dishes, the breakfast coffee is prepared by a barista and all the food is Top quality. I would definitely go back. I booked a terrace room in an high floor, with my own little outdoor space and a fantastic sunset view over the traditional roofs on one side and the water view on the other. Please make sure you stay at least a couple of nights and flavor the full Emirati experience! "

"Much of the building is falling into disrepair. The property entrance and the pool/pub area are in serious need of refurbishment. The lack of upkeep is also noticed in the condition of the carpets in our suite, which would benefit from a deep cleaning. "

"This was a last minite booking because we had flight delays and oit original reservation was cancelled. The lobby has a terrible odor. The neighborhood is dirty an crowded. There are no nice places to eat or shop nearby. The room was large bit like a motel 6 in the US. We had to switch the breakers throughout the day to keepnthe AC running. We had cockroaches in our room 3 of the 5 days we were there. The staff was polite but inattentive when we aked for help."

"Bed was very hard Hotel was marketed towards Indians. I had to speak to many who were talking loudly in the corridors early in the morning and late at night - no consideration for others. Lifts were very slow and at one stage I had to push a group of 10-15 Indians back so I could get out of the elevator Breakfast was once again targeted towards Indians - the same stuff as we had in hotels we stayed at in India. The breakfast room was always crowded and one of us had to stay at the table at all times to guard it from being taken by others. The bed mattress was very hard and the pillows were huge (fat) and uncomfortable to use. We were happy to be able to have breakfast in the Emirates lounge this morning. Staff were polite and professional, but we had limited interactions with them."
