"Property was under construction… was unable to sleep past 8am because they were working on the room next to ours. Our room had a strong fresh paint smell and leaving the back door open did not provide enough fresh air. We woke up the next morning with headaches. "

"I stayed here for business. It is close to John Wayne airport and a short drive to Newport Beach. While the immediate area is not the best, you have access to many desirable areas. The restaurant is reasonable and the food is great. I had the burger and the short rib tacos. I did arrive around 1pm and the staff seemed a little bothered that I was trying to check in. He told me "people just checked out". I had to ask him if it was okay to hang out and I had to ask about access to the restaurant. I did not exactly feel welcome in that moment. But that was a minor set back. I then spent the next two hours eating and hanging out by the pool. Unfortunately no one was able to alert me when my room was ready and when I came back around 3 there was a huge line of people checking in ahead of me."

"We did not know about the airport shuttle. My fault. Our room was cleaned by 11 each day and well kept. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was all I could ask for and had a great variety. The staff was amazing. They had great attitudes and were very service oriented. Each and every staff member was super friendly and on point to help in any way that they could. Thank you for a great stay and we will be back next year!"

"Overall, it was a great stay at the Laguna Hills Lodge. You definitely get your moneys worth. Breakfast staff were so kind and amazing. Breakfast was good as well. Room and restroom were all clean and lovely, not one extra mark. It was quiet as well, which is a plus. The closeness to the beach was definitely worth it, plus the scenery you can get. Overall, I had an amazing time and will definitely be staying again. The only small inconvenience was the lack of extra pillows and blankets, but that’s a minor thing that can easily be fixed. Other than that, definitely 5 stars across the board."
