"This was the second time my wife and I have visited Hawaii. The last time was 20 years ago, before kids, when we went the Maui. This December we went to Waikoloa with our 14 and 16 year olds and it was a dream! The property is amazing, with a protected lagoon. They literally could swim with turtles, rays, and all kinds of fish. They also have a dolphin population right at the lagoon and you can watch them swim and play with their trainers all day long. It's pretty amazing. We stayed in a Makai garden room, which was clean and had wonderful views and easy access to the pool just outside. The onsite food options were a bit limited and were expensive, as we expected, but honestly not that bad compared to the mainland these days. You can also walk a bit less than a mile to some other options, which we did on a couple of occasions. If I can afford it, I will definitely come back to this place. And, I highly recommend it for families with older or younger kids."

"Overall I think the accommodations would have been perfect for a solo traveler, but I was uncomfortable. The mattress felt like it was very worn and saggy and there were popped springs that poked my back. I woke up in pain each night. I was also not informed that there wouldn't be WiFi until I got there. There wasn't any warning about this when I made the reservation and I had planned to make work zoom calls. It's a lovely space and lovely idea, but it could use some improvements for the price. "

"We stayed a week and loved the condo, location, close to shopping and dining. Everything was clean and spotless. Had everything we wanted, including laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, utensils, ice chest with gel packs and basically a full stocked kitchen. Stop and Costco or KTA and get groceries and you're all set for the week. Host was very responsive, checkin was easy, and answered any questions quickly that we had. We've stayed in the Vista several times and love this location."

"Kitchen had all the tools and the grill had propane. All the literature was easy to understand and posted in plain view. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean - it was a beautiful home away from home. Parking was easy and the staff were so friendly."
