We decided to splurge on the Hilton because of the 65 acre property. Our first trip in post covid times. The property is great if you like to walk. We averaged 10 miles a day on our pedometer walking the property, to and from the shopping centers, parking lot, etc. There is a tram, and boats that you can take to certain main areas but you spend a lot of time waiting for them and often it is quicker to just walk along the path, stairs and hallways. We stayed in the Ocean Tower with a partial ocean view. Very partial, we mostly had a view of the golf course from the balcony. The section we were in was extremely dated and worn. From the furniture, carpet, tile to the counters, bathroom, and even the bamboo trays the hold soap, and tissue needed replacing. On top of that the most important thing in a hotel room is the ability to get a good night sleep, and the bed was very uncomfortable. In prior resort stays water was always provided daily with housekeeping services. This was not the case at the Hilton. We understood about the housekeeping and were fine with not having that, but water would have been nice. Also, every few days fresh towels should automatically be sent to rooms. The Hilton charges a very high daily resort fee and parking fee. The feeling: Ripped off. Food/drink options were only open PT and very expensive. Felt gouged for basic quality. Staff was almost always friendly. Stop here only to see the property, sit by the ocean for awhile. Then leave.
