the accommodation was a budget choice for us but... we loved it so much we returned the following night for another night on our return trip. Thanks for a simple basic clean comfy quiet location on a weekend night. We will recommend and return ourselves.

This place is not the Astoria Waldorf but it is a good as you get in a place like Lismore, loved by some but loathed by most, and the rich burghers live on the coast at Lennox Head or Byron Bay. The food in the Restaurant was really good, inexpensive and the staff and typical civilized friendly country people. You will be happy there

This area offers immediate access to the beautiful coastline and the convenience of being close to local amenities. The village centre, particularly around Beach Road, features a selection of cafes, local shops, and a grocery store. The layout is quite relaxed, with direct paths leading from accommodations to the sandy shores.

For families, the village centre provides easy access to everything you might need. The proximity to the beach means children can enjoy swimming and building sandcastles without a long journey.

The best time to visit Dobies Bight is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
During these months, the temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the nearby national parks or enjoying the coastal walks. You'll find the natural beauty of the area, like the Dobies Bight Lookout, particularly inviting without the intense heat or the cooler temperatures of winter.
Couples often find these times great for a relaxed getaway. The quieter beaches and walking trails offer a sense of seclusion, and many local eateries and shops are still fully operational but less busy, allowing for a more intimate experience. You can enjoy long coastal drives or spend an afternoon at a local vineyard.
Families also benefit from visiting in the shoulder seasons. The milder weather is comfortable for children to enjoy the various outdoor attractions, such as the Dobies Bight Adventure Park or the local wildlife sanctuaries, without the peak season rush.
