"There is a guest book at the Rock Inn which dates back to 1903 and it chronicles the experiences of the people who vacationed there. After reading through it one has to agree that it is a special place.
We had a lovely stay at the Rock Inn. Our room was cosy with a comfy bed. We booked our meals in because the food is superb and the service friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back."
"Great place to stay, clean, comfortable room with a decent shower. We had a nice quiet room and the breakfast was delicious.
Good location for Teignmouth and Shaldon "
"My partner and I stayed here for an impromptu night over and wished we had stayed for longer now!
The staff were so friendly and the food was incredible, there was a real homely feel to the place and the grounds are stunning.
Easy parking too which is a plus. It’s only a 3 minute drive from a petrol station too.
We recommend:
- ordering the “ultimate burger”
- saving room after dinner for one of their ice cream sundaes
- ordering a local cider and sitting on the swing bench in the garden"
"It is such good value for money. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are all so friendly. The rooms have everything you could possibly need, they are very clean and comfortable. "

Swallows End - Bolthole with hot tub, pool and sauna
10/10 Excellent
"Communication leading up to stay was fantastic. Love the dedicated app with lots of useful information about the property and surrounding area. Property was lovely and clean and an ideal location to explore the local area. Facilities were fantastic, use of the hot tub, pool and sauna were just what we needed. Would definitely recommend "
Grade II listed cottage in the heart of Bovey Tracey with parking & garden
8/10 Good
"For the most part very happy with my stay at this property. Having off street parking was fantastic as the property is located in the heart of the village where on-street parking is limited. Getting into the spot was a little tricking as it is a small space that was partially taken up by a rolled up carpet. The property looks pretty plain from the outside, but had been updated nicely inside. The pictures in the posting are accurate to how the property looks. Lots of nearby shops, pubsz and take away food options, so that was nice. The host was very responsive, always responded quickly to my messages. The one major frustration for me was the listed said there was a washer AND dryer, but in reality, only a wash machine and a drying rack. I probably would have picked another property if I had known there was no dryer. All in all enjoyed my stay at Bovey Tracey"
"An ideal family holiday! So much fun for children, exploring the farm, feeding and grooming the animals. The location is fabulous and in a beauty area on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. We stayed in Cider Cottage but would love to come back and stay in another cottage as well "
