"There is no-one in reception.On the night we arrived a very loud alarm went off at around 20 to midnight so after 5 minutes I had to go out of our room to investigate what was happening.It was an alarm from the restaurant area that was closed.There was no number to call in case of emergency.I called the fire alarm people using the number on the wall and the guy told me it wasn't a fire alarm.I then called the only number available for the hotel (a landline number) and no-one answered.By the time I got back to my room at 1 a.m., the alarm finally stopped.To get to the rooms from reception there was a fire door that was wedged open both nights that we were there.We wouldn't go back there."

"This is a beautiful and well-equipped house in a stunning location. So remote and peaceful and yet so handy for the city of Exeter as well as the surrounding areas. The house itself was really spacious and well-designed and the garden accommodated us and our dogs perfectly. A lovely stay for our family of 6 plus our 2 dogs."
