"Nice hotel particularly for people with a car. Convenient car access and plentiful parking. Area is near a motorway and with an open window there was some minor car noise but otherwise quiet. The area is not walkable and there are no nearby shops or restaurants. On the other hand, the attached restaurant was excellent both for breakfast and supper. Staff was extremely helpful. Never used the gym so cannot comment there. Good wifi and plentiful hot water."

"I don’t normally leave reviews but on this occasion I feel the property deserves excellent feed back. We spent 3 nights in Willow and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The surrounding area is tranquil. There are lovely walks on the doorstep with fabulous views of the surrounding country side, however, there are a few steep inclines that are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The hot tub was great and well maintained, having the outside shower was handy and a bonus that it was hot water, not the cold we were expecting. We didn’t use the outside kitchen or bbq but there was everything you would need. The Ley Arms Inn is a short stroll from the hideaway and the food and atmosphere were excellent , would highly recommend. We booked through Luxury Costal and they were very efficient. All in all a wonderful stay."

"Great hotel within walking distance of Exeter centre. Parked there on arrival after checking with member of staff if that was ok. Bedroom looked like recently refurbished, bed was very comfortable. We had a room at the back so nice and quiet as hotel on quite a busy road. Work was being done on the hotel but didn’t hear any noise from it on the Friday afternoon when we checked in. Bathroom could have done with a little extra cleaning re mould on grout but didn’t affect us. Good shower with plenty hot water. Large towels though one was a tad shabby if I really need to pick a fault, still worked ok. Tea, coffee, milk and a couple of biscuits supplied. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Excellent full English breakfast in the morning with very attentive member of staff on hand. Asked if I could have juice which was on the continental menu and noticed he then offered juice to other visitors who ordered from the main menu. Excellent service. Would have no issue staying there again, would probably ask for the same room. All in all a very good hotel at an excellent price"

"Room, bed, sheets & pillows amazing and tea, coffee, hairdryer essentials in place (accidental no toilet roll but sorted it). Road is noisy but would never mark it down for that, I knew before I arrived. Bar restaurant not open (again I knew before). Sadly that makes the place feel a bit lacking in atmosphere (& people). Seven Stars down the road, amazing food (check what nights kitchen open but always do pizza)"

"The room was lovely and the offer of a free drink in the bar in exchange for no housekeeping is clever. Such a good idea. Unfortunately the wedding in the hotel on Saturday night dominated all the communal areas of the hotel which meant that we couldn’t have the nightcap in the bar we were hoping for, as well as there being the thumping of the music from the wedding in our room until well after 11pm. Had we known yet the bar area would be pretty much out of action to other guests we might have chosen to stay elsewhere."

"We stayed in Heron lodge, it was perfect for us, the facilities are like home from home and the position next to the lake is beautiful.My wife has mobility problems and did not find it a problem. We loved the place so much that we did not leave to visit anywhere for the week we were there just chilled, used the gorgeous hot tub and fished no need to travel if you want to rest."
