"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"Everything was fine overall, great apartment, great location, friendly housekeeper. However, before travel look after a message requesting a deposit, we noticed that the Hotels.com app indicated the deposit and taxes were included, which turned out not to be the case. As a result, I had to make the payment through a separate website. We left the apartment clean and tidy, and the deposit was refunded within a few days."

"Great location in a nice area of Torquay, bus stops, a pub and local shops within a 5 minutes walk of the front door. Also about a 15 minute stroll to Ansteys Cove for able walkers. Not all bathrooms have a shower, but a bath instead which was fine for us. Comfortable beds in spacious rooms. The large kitchen/diner is also modern, nice utility room and the living room is also very spacious. Overall a lovely place to stay and I would not hesitate to consider booking again if the property was...

"Charming place, we hadn’t realised how good the sea views were/are. Nicely located being a short walk from Babbington centre with the rest of the English Riviera easily accessible. Heating and hot water both fine, spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen (even washing up without a dishwasher didn’t seem like a chore with those views!). We had an issue with the WiFi which the owner worked to resolve, sadly without success. But Sunny Bank is a great spot in a great location - recommended"

"We had a room overlooking the sea, but there was only one chair to sit on to have a cup of tea sitting by the window. The door was very strong and was difficult to get the wheelchair in. A hook to hold it back would be useful. The breakfast was excellent. You are quite a way away from the town, but buses are frequent. Dinner is quite expensive in the dining room. Fabric napkins would be nice in the evenings. Staff are all very well trained"
