"The place is OK as a base which we used it for whilst we were in the area. The food was nice with the added beneit of a Gluten free menu and they do have separate prep areas for food. Rooms nice, although a little dated and some need a little attention in places. Reasonably priced for both food and drink, service can be a little slow at times. Bar area gets busy we tended to sit in the restaurant area as it was more quieter. Breakfasts tasty, good selection of food and hot food if you want it too. Outside is a little tired and garden could do with a bit of attention - overal was an OK stay. "

"The redesign of the building is lovely, and we were really looking forward to our stay but it did not quite go to plan. Our room was next to the air vent for the kitchen which was extremely noisy, as were the kitchen deliveries during the night. The restaurant served my pregnant wife a meal with an alcoholic relish despite us checking it with them beforehand several times. The manager denied this the next day until we showed him a photograph! We are trying to support local pubs and hotels but we would not stay here again. "
