"We booked a five-night stay at the Marriott Maquis on the 32nd floor. The corner room offered a fantastic view of the city, especially the Bund. The light goes up at 6pm and it’s well worth the money. The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was served either in the lounge or on the third floor and there were plenty of choices including both Western and Asian dishes. The hotel was conveniently located right next to Nanjing Road (a five-minute walk) in a busy and vibrant part of the city. Overall, the hotel was lovely but check-in and check-out were quite slow and the lift was unbearable. It was incredibly slow, taking about three to five minutes to travel between floors. This was a deal-breaker for me. "

"This is a classic-style hotel—not modern, but very well maintained and not run-down. The location is very convenient, just one block away from Nanjing Street, with a convenience store right across the street. The room was clean, and the staff were very helpful. I especially appreciated the bathtub and the many elevators, so there was no long wait to go up to the room or down to the lobby. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it."

"Our family recently stayed four nights at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, and overall it turned into a truly memorable experience. We did encounter some issues with the room condition on the day we checked in, which was a bit stressful given our tight schedule during a short stay in Beijing. However, what really stood out was how the hotel handled the situation. The staff went above and beyond to make things right and ensure the rest of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. In particular, we would like to thank Eva at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, professional, and handled everything with such care and efficiency. Her attentiveness and warmth made a lasting impression on us. Honestly, nearly every staff member we interacted with reflected that same level of hospitality, and we are very grateful. The location of the hotel is another major highlight. It is extremely convenient—situated above an underground shopping mall with direct access to two metro lines, and within walking distance to major attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. There are also countless dining options nearby, along with easy access to shopping areas. The hotel itself is well maintained, and we especially enjoyed the indoor pool and spa facilities, which were perfect for families. Breakfast was also a standout—an impressive selection with excellent quality that made for a great start to each day. Despite the initial hiccup, the exceptional service truly made all the difference. "

"Loved our stay at the Shangri-La Pudong. Easy to get to from the airport. Lots of shopping and train choices. Friendly staff and service always excellent. Stayed in a Club Room this time and loved the staff and the amenities. Special thanks to AnnaLisa in the Club Lounge for exceptional service! Also managed to get to the spa/pool area and was v impressed. Would love to return!"
