"The whole hotel was very warm and we had to ask to get one of our windows unlocked. The thermostat in the room offered little control over the temperature of the room. It was cold out while we were there. It's not like we were asking to run the air conditioner continually. We just wanted to turn the heat off. Also there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom that never went away. But the room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the location was pretty good."

"We were very impressed with the hotel and would return on another trip. The location is perfect. An easy walk from the Central train station and is in the centre of Amsterdam city area. Staff were excellent, the on site part is award winning, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. One note: If you have anything to speak with the hotel about before your stay, please contact them directly and not through Expedia. We were arriving early in the morning, so booked a room for the prior night. I discussed this via Expedia with the hotel, but we were initially marked as no-shows in error. The hotel front desk was able to correct this, but it slightly extended how long it took to check-in."

"Great location, comfortable beds. Delicious pastries in the coffee shop. Bar in nice location but found that there were not enough servers. We stayed 2 nights and each night was busy with people due to business conventions and private parties, ergo not enough servers."

"One night at Old Quarter 16th - 17th Oct. Room 40. Great location, quirky pub/bar. Arriving at the hotel earlier than check in welcomed my helpful & friendly staff member. Informed us of room not being ready just yet but could do the admin formalities to save time later on. Offered luggage store whilst our room being prepared which allowed us to carry on with our planned tour. (Steep spiral stairs down to the basement tricky navigating with luggage) 4th floor room - finding out there a lift a pleasant surprise, especially travelling with a little one. Room was clean, comfy beds, had all essentials handy. Room offered great view from the dormer of central station, start of damrak street and canals. Only negative is the window could do with upgrading or draught seals replacing to keep warmth in at night and dampen some of the noise. Breakfast had a good selection to choose from. Would Recommend a visit for drinks and even a hotel stay."
