"The place wasn't very welcoming, staff was doing their jobs, period, not warm, not smiley and kind of quick on your case. The room was really average (especially for the prize), hand print on the wall of the bathroom, brown stain next to the bin on the carpet floor. The corridors and overall hotel was in bad shape. We even smell drugs in the corridors on the first night. The restaurant was renovated and the buffet was great (good and affordable). We slept well without noise even if the hotel is facing the road. I'll not come back, the experience wasn't terrible but surely not great either. "

"Overall a really poor experience that I gave the team at the hotel a chance to respond directly but as that was pretty unsatisfactory - Iit should be shared here as potential guests should know. Good stuff: Low price, great staff. Bad stuff: Really dirty room, with someone elses dark black hairs all over the bath and bathroom and clearly had not been cleaned. Conditioner dispenser was broken and just refilled and clearly not checked. Rubbish left in the corridors and strwn around the lifts and not spotted or picked up. General poor smell around the 3rd floor. Room AC had two settings - off or COLD. No controls would work. The general upkeep of the rooms is poor, but I can live with that for a value prices hotel - but the lack of cleanliness isnt acceptible. "

"Staff professional, friendly and welcoming. Food very tasty, accommodation clean, tidy and comfortable-we were a group of 3 staying in one room for one night whilst attending crufts and the hotel didn’t disappoint, fab weekend, thanks everyone ❤️"

"We weren't advised there was a pool, so we didn't get to use it. Staff were all lovely, especially receptionist who booked us in. But the second lift being out of order meant we had to wait for the lift when checking out. There was a chair in our room [118] that needed joints gluing and could have collapsed, and somewhere in the bathroom is leaking damp, resulting in a few harmless fruit flies and damagedbath panel and skirting. "

"The carpet in the room was filthy - does it ever get vacuumed, let alone cleaned? Only one pillow per person and one roll of toilet roll for 3 people for 2 nights! Restaurant and bars on site are very expensive and as the hotel is out, virtually on its own by a motorway junction, there aren’t really any other options. We only ate in the hotel once, the food was below average, overpriced and the service was ‘disinterestment’. The pool is run by a different company which means you need to book. At the time we booked we were not warned that it was being used for swimming lessons, which is fine, I would like everyone to learn to swim. But please let us know so we can book a quieter time for a more relaxing experience. Would I stay in the hotel again? Definitely not. This used to be a very high quality and well run hotel - what has happened to it? 🙁"
