"Sandy's location is excellent. Out of the crowded Galena area, but close enough for an easy drive over for the day (about 20 - 25min traffic based). Breakfast was delicious and different every morning - Sandy will work with your dietary restrictions - talk with her about it. The space was large - entire upstairs with it's own kitchen if you prefer to cook your other meals yourself. Deck is lovely with a great view - could hardly believe how many stars in the sky. We enjoyed a fire in the firepit...

"Maquoketa caves state park was on pur bucket list to stay and I wanted a cabin with firepit and bonus if it had a whirlpool tub to soothe our muscles after hiking. This checked all the boxes for us. "Celebrated 50 years married with family here. Spacious accommodations, nice scenery, fun game room. A place for everyone to sleep, nice and ample dining areas, plenty of room in the kitchen. Kitchen was missing some everyday items like pot holders and a colander. Went and purchased what we needed and added to inventory. Such a minor negative for all the great times we had in this house.
