"Room was clean, nice. entryways not so much. Cleaning staff great. Front Desk totally uninterested in providing any service. Breakfast was minimal."

"Cheap stay for the weekend. Floors, shower and table tops were dirty. The beds and the pillows were not comfortable. The parking lot was filled with strange people all hours of the day and night. There were people sleeping in their cars and trash everywhere outside. I will never return to this hotel even if it was the last hotel available in Monterey."

"I stayed in one of the historic rooms, which is historically small and unappointed. There wasn't even a chair, just a bed and a bathroom. If you wanted to sit, you could sit on the toilet or the bed. The staff were fine, the hotel at least in that area, is pretty shabby. I was unimpressed and I will not return."

"Very clean room, friendly staff, breakfast was delicious, and I liked that the time for breakfast was 7-10am, later than most hotels. Eggs, sausage, bacon, tater tots, lots of muffins, toast, oatmeal, fresh fruit, great selection of teas coffee and juice. The hot tub was nice, very clean area and pool was warmer than I thought. Will definitely stay again."

"Great hotel minutes from Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. The room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and we were able to make good use of the 24hr tea/coffee facilities and the heated pool. There is also a microwave in the communal area. Parking was plentiful (both at ground level and underground). I would recommend this hotel and would stay again on a return visit to Monterey."

"Parking was easy, good area location…smell of chemicals the moment I entered the room, couldn’t sleep well! Seems black mold on walls and door frames…unfortunately, will not be back! "

"We always enjoy our stay at Stargazer. Rooms are clean. Great location. Close to shopping and restaurants. There is a pool and hot tub. There are a couple of large family rooms. I recommend this place."
