"Parking was really easy, and there were a lot of cameras in the parking lot to make it feel safe. Rooms were clean and comfortable. "

"The staff was great when checking in. Parking was easy, right in front of our room. The room was clean and very nice. The cost of the room was very inexpensive. The location of the hotel was a short walk to town. They had a great coffee /cappuccino machine that allows you to pick custom coffee drinks and it was free. Would definitely stay here again. "

"In order of the review categories, more or less.... 1) we were in the very first room in the hallway off the main lobby and it was LOUD, night and day. 2) front desk staff were very courteous, but management is abhorrent. See my NOTE below. 3) hotel was about a 15 minute walk down to the wharf, but not much else going for its location. 4) breakfast is very simple fare, but located in a tiny room which was overwhelmed by the morning crowd with insufficient seating. NOTE: when we arrived for a spring break stay we were told the pool and hot tub were out of service, and the front staff admitted they had been so for many months, which very much disappointed my little boy. I won't go into the litany of lame excuses provided by staff and management in an email, but the only notice of them being out of order was hidden in fine print way down on their website (see attached photo) instead of in a prominent banner at the top of their home page, nor did they apparently notify Expedia. When I emailed the manager regarding my dissatisfaction the best she could offer was a $50 refund, but despite two additional follow-up emails and a phone call to her I have had zero response, nor have I seen any refund. I spent a career in the hospitality industry and the product and customer service we received at this hotel were sadly deficient. Take it from a pro, there are lots of comparably priced hotels in the Monterey area and I would strongly advise you avoid this one."

"The rooms could use some refresh of furniture style as well as the bathrooms but otherwise, very comfy and fine for casual overnights. "

"Friendly, efficient staff found a quick solution to accommodate early check in. Room very clean, roomy and relaxing. Easy walk to downtown Monterey and the Wharf make it a great location. Evening glass of wine and full assortment of breakfast options in the morning add to the the experience. "
