When we turned up at the hotel it was very disappointing.
THere was no one on site - it was all remote managed and we had been sent 2 codes in an email (front door and room door) to get in. I hadnt realized this so lucky I had a working phone otherwise ringing the bell would have served no purpose...
It was also difficult to find the hotel, since Pittville Circus is a circle with a number of houses on, no numbers and no names visible mostly. I ended up calling the remote manager to find out where to go.
THe building is nice from the outside, but in our view very run-down. There has not been an attempt to make it look nice inside it seems the investment was purely in putting up drywalls to create as many rooms as possible. THe decor was like you would find in a furniture auction from a diseased relative. The wardrobe was full of dust so didnt put anything in there. THe ensuite was a joke - I couldnt believe how small the room was for toilet, shower, sink. THe mirror in the bathroom was hung up with electrical flex. THe only window was very small.
We had been looking forward to a cooked breakfast as there was "free breakfast" indicated on the hotel page. However no one was there. INstead the room had a fridge and we were instructed to fashion our own "continental breakfast" out of the ingredients: 3 yoghurts, 2 fruit juices, 2 mini cornflakes boxes, 2 packets of choco croissant. Extremely disappointing.
It was relatively cheap, but in our view not worth it.
