"We stayed at the hotel on the occasion of a family dinner. The dinner itself organised and catered by the hotel was first class.. 30 or so guests dining in an 18 century dining room. Our room with four poster was magnificent. Most importantly however every member of staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble .. even with three dogs wandering about and getting into places they shouldn’t! Quite the best hotel experience we have had for many years"

"Clean, tidy, well appointed room and hotel. Easy walk from the train station, and reception always available from what I saw. Shower was OK, hot enough. Room cold, but radiator did the job when needed. Bed comfortable enough, bedding fine too. A little noisy outside on a morning, but not excessive and not the fault of the hotel. Seemed like a freindly place, I would return. "

"Lovely sized room for the two of us and our dog. Very welcoming to dogs throughout the whole Inn, which was very much appreciated. "The room was clesn and comfortable, housekeeping staff were very helpful especially helpful with my wife who was a bit off colour. The general quslity of catering was better than our last. Our last day breakfadt was goid however consistency needs to be maintained. Front of house staff work very hard, especially Nial, & Jenny. As a former auditor i would suggest a visit by a snag fixer and this place would be cracking. Small changes, massive differences."
