"Very tired, shabby and in need of upgrade ... which they are working on. I read on reviews 'nice views', which i couldn't see through the dirty windows. 'Restaurant on premises' was closed due to renos so we had to go down the windy mountain road into town for dinner and breakfast (The Town Tavern in Banner Elk was excellent). Carpet desperately needs changing. What they could clean they did ... clean comfy bed (but a Murphy bed? how do you clean behind that? You don't! ). New shower curtain ... thank you. Shower head is awf. Linens clean. My suggestion, wait until renos are done and then give it a try ... there's potential"

"Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, plenty of activities for the kids to do in the game room and pool area and loved the living room with the fireplace setting. It was a great experience"

"Great place for families! Spacious with great layout for 2 familes with kids. Game room, pool & hot tub on property. There were a lot of deer grazing when we were here too. "

"Such a sweet spot with a beautiful view. It was super quiet and restful, but also so easy to get to Banner Elk or Boone.The owners were really responsive when we had questions or needs. Great spot for a girls weekend away!"

"Great location! We walked to Fred’s general store and deli. The sledding hill was only a short walk too. We were looking for snow and we found plenty of it there for our kids to enjoy! The place had 2 living rooms and fireplaces which was great. Kids loved playing the arcade game. Kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub on deck by the flowing creek was very relaxing. We saw lots of deer in the front yard and by the creek. Would stay here again! "
