Property was ok for you he price. No breakfast offered. So made it very difficult to find anything to eat at this time. The staff didn't really want to clean the room. The bed was rock hard, but we knew this would b the case. Overall nothing much to do in Battambang

Average hotel in a good location
The hotel is fine and in a good, central location. When we arrived, the elevator was out and our room was 5 flights up. We are 60 & 70 years old with large travel backpacks and daypacks. None of the staff offered to help us with our bags or to move us to a lower floor. Eventually the elevator was fixed but by then we had requested a room on the third floor. The hotel is clean but a bit messy. A dust pan was left in the middle of the third floor deck, cleaning cloths were left on the railing going to the pool, etc.

Mouldy rooms, left immediately
Walked into the room and straight back out again, sacrificing a non-refundable booking in the process. The place was covered in mould, the room was in terrible condition, and the advertised pool was a glorified bathtub. Not hygienic, no care had been put into the establishment since at least 2019. Avoid!!!

It was a good hotel. The lobby is excellent. The only complaints are the room had a strange smell, mold in the bathroom, and stains on the sheets. Other thaN that the hotel is excellent. Perfect location and helpful front desk.

It was what we paid for. It was clean and the pool was nice bit of relief in the afternoon. The rooftop was great place to sit and enjoy a few gins! Hotel very handy to town market and plenty of food. Over all we would return for the same money

Great value
Very friendly staff and there’s always plenty of people to help. Two were 2-three people always at the front desk and all the amenities you need are available. Location is perfect. Hardly any street noise can be heard in the rooms. Wi-Fi is very strong.

Place is clean. Though room had a bit of an odour. Ac wasnt cold it kept turning off. Swimming pool was located in a different building. It was fine for an overnight stay.

It's OK. The room was small but practical. They had overbooked so had us in a less nice room than what we'd requested, which was frustrating. It was next door, so at least nearby. The pool is pretty grubby and doesn't have much going for it (no chairs in the sun). Great location though and good little cafe downstairs. It's fine, but nothing to write home about.

Quiet Inn on the Beach
The hotel and room were small, but had everything we needed. The staff was friendly, and the dog Bing Bing is very cute! Breakfast is served daily, along with a choice of coffee, tea or juice. There are a few fun hikes on this side of the island, as well as some tasty restaurants. The only downside during our stay was dust and noise from the construction going on at the hotel next door.

Great Hotel in Central Battambang
The Seng Hout is a lovely hotel with a range of great services right in the centre of Battambang. Directly opposite is the Central Market where you can buy everything from fresh (still living) fish to gemstones. The Hotel is wonderfully clean and relatively quiet - there is a market right next to it, but its not a problem. There is a breakfast if you wish to use the coffee shop attached to the hotel, but it's American style pancakes and sweet stuff so not to a Brits taste, however there are plenty of alternatives and loads of street food, so its not an issue. There is a great swimming pool on the roof and a sky lounge. This would be improved by having a permanent bar, but for some reason there isn't one. Again, you're in the centre of Battambang, so why would you want to stay in your hotel? Overall the place is a good hotel, friendly and efficient staff and thoroughly recommended.

Blatant bait and switch routine
The hotel is deceiving with its pictures on the hotels.com site. The beautiful lobby you see in the picture does NOT belong to the hotel picture you see from the outside. You go to the grand lobby but then they tell you that you are staying at the hotel next door and they take you there. It felt like a bait and switch. Both hotels have the same name, but they seem to operate independently from each other. The rooms are right across the town market so you'll be hearing lots of noise well into the night. the staff is very friendly, but the whole switching me hotels things made me very unhappy and I switched hotels the next day. I would recommend another hotel over this one.

This hotel is pretty poor. It's old and feels stuffy and uncomfortable. There was a window in the room with bars looking into the corridor. I had a massage from the hotel and it was the worst massage I've ever had in a dirty room.

Reasonable hotel for a very reasonable price!
Note, there are 2 Seng Hout Hotels (virtually next door to each other). Same owner, this is the "new" one. Friends stayed in the "old" one, and suggest this one is better. (Although the other is half the price!) Stayed for only one night, apart from having no safe in the room, it was good enogh for me.

A little stark but pleasant enough.
This hotel has a great location near the river and market place. It is a large building that feels a little cold. Staff was generally quite helpful.

Pleasant stay in a clean budget friendly room. Nice staff and great location for markets and local food. Battambang is a lot slower pace than other parts of Cambodia despite the size, our experience was the 2 night would have been enough to get around to the sights and experience the city

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Sadly there was a group of very 'happy clappy' religious nutters staying in the Hotel, who proceeded to play various musical instruments, violins, guitars, drums whistles etc. and sing religious songs on the roof top every day for hours! Since we were on the floor below this did not bode well for us. We complained as the noise was truly UNBEARABLE, but the hotel did nothing. Additional, when I booked the rooms, the top category, we were given to understand our balcony was private IT WAS NOT PRIVATE - but could be used by anyone - and was. At all hours various unwashed hippy types were outside our windows, smoking and drinking and talking very loudly. Worst of all was another group of so called volunteers was also staying there and mixed in with the hippies, would party well into the night screaming and banging away - yes SCREAMING, running up and down the corridors and shouting from the roof top. Needless to say we didn't get any sleep or privacy on our 'relaxing' trip to Battambang! I live in Canbodia and had taken my ageing parents for a nice return trip to Battambang, what a disaster! Still the town is lovely and we tried to make the best of it, spending as little time at the Hotel as possible.

We already tried our best to tell their lead of that group, but it was out of hand that their leader could not handle them. We are, again, sorry for what happened. For the price, Seng Hout Hotel was alright. The wifi was good, pretty fast and relatively stable during our stay. I liked the location, it was pretty at the centre of the town, quite convenient, with a few good restaurants nearby (then again, Battambang was a small town and most things were close by anyways). The room wasn't very clean but it was clean enough. The hot water supply for shower wasn't stable and it can change from warm to cool randomly during one shower.

Good location and access to other (older) seng hout hotel gave pool and gym use too. Lobby area is a bit of a let down, could be a really good space as its big but there is just random dining room furniture in a corner. Reception area is also very cluttered and it doesn't present any where near as well as the original hotel next door does.

Good little hotel
The Seng Hout hotel is in two sections with a random building in between. We were staying in the new bit in a decent sized room with 3 separate good size single beds, efficient air con, TV and shower room. The pool is in the old bit and although great for cooling off is no good for sunbathing as the deckchairs are inside! There are some very old pieces of gym equipment there too although no air con as it is open to the elements. No breakfast included in the room rate but there is a cafe in the old bit and there are places around and it is literally 10 yards from the market. The desk clerk unwittingly over charged us for the bus to Siem Reap - $9 instead of $8 even though that was what was on the price list and gave us the difference back when they could easily have pocketed it without anyone knowing so very impressed with that which seems typical of the Cambodian people in my experience.

My room was adequate for the price but was being renovated. The new Seng Hout 2 doors away look very nice. My room backed onto the swimming pool at water level and there was mold on the window frame.

Location and price are great.
The Seng Hout hotel suited us just fine for two nights in Battambang. Our room was basic but of good size with amazing furniture. The bathrooms are dated but everything worked. Location is excellent for downtown access to food markets. Our tuk tuk driver Saro meet the bus and took us the short distance to the hotel then sat and planned our next day's tour. Saro was great. The hotel was a good size to be able to meet over travellers but not too big. It has a cafe and a pool. Both were adequate.

Battambang was an unexpected stop on our journey and we found the town wonderful. The hotel was centrally located, close to shops, food, river. Staff was all pleasant. The pool was very cool (temperature), which was so nice after a day in the heat. The only thing that would have made it better would have been for breakfast to have been included in the price.

Laundry service lost our clothes. The staff on arrival insisted we didn't pay because they couldn't find our booking even after we showed them our confirmation email and receipt. Put us in the wrong room and made us change rooms twice. Pool is only ok. Airconditioning was weak and the man across from us was told his was broken and they had no other rooms for him. Other than that the hotel is close to the market the rooms we're good and clean. Mostly only had problems with the service.
