South End Hotels, Atlantic City

"This was worse than expected but I was stuck staying. The door did not lock properly (deadbolt would not turn) - I was able to secure the door with a chair. You can hear EVERYTHING from outside and through the walls (seriously could hear everything being said as well as the kid with a cold sneezing next door). For all the noise “maintenance” made through the day, they should concentrate on cleaning the property - quite littered, even a bottle of urine in the parking lot. The paint was peeling in the shower/tub area. The presented “breakfast item” was literally a children’s Quaker Chewy Bar - not what I would eat at any time of day, and the coffee was barely warm (no coffee in-room only in the lobby). The shower had good pressure and was hot, and the bed was comfortable."

"Rooms were great. FD staff great except one young AA lady whose personality wasn't very welcoming. She spoke rudely and matter of factly to other guests, not me. (Their rooms weren't ready and she wasn't sympathetic apologetic or anything. It was take it or leave it... we'll call u when the rooms ready).I was glad she didn't wait on us. Housekeeping staff was friendly too. Only other con is room walls are paper thin, all night you could here entire conversation of neighbors just talking in regular tone. Then in the morning, you can hear hskprs early!! Made it hard to rest."

"I wrote a lengthy review earlier today overall, I would say my stay was awful and I’ll never stay at the Claridge Hotel again. Very Poor shower drainage, LOUD squealing noises continuously from in the wall and / or plumbing system. All of this after being switched from one shabby room to another. Who has time to play musical rooms? Yes, I settled for it but I was very much unhappy about it also disappointed. Claridge Hotel do better !! "

"This is a place is a water park for kids and pet friendly which was not bad.The dirty rooms was really the deal breaker. Hair on the floor in the bathroom and the room smelled horrible. Extremely outdated and flat out dirty."

"Front desk gave us the wrong directions to our room and housekeeping rang the doorbell twice at 8 o’clock in the morning when we didn’t have to check out until 11. Very disappointing will not be returning."
