"It’s an older hotel that’s no frills but is still very charming & nice."

"Hidden costs, poorly ran, lots of vacant rooms but they put the very few guests right next to each other, and the floors smell like weed. Check in had two people working, other customers complaining about it being understaffed. Nothing special about this place at all. Food in the restaurants was overpriced trash."

"Atlantic City isn’t known for being the safest or cleanest area. However, when you stay on the boardwalk, you won’t feel that. There’s a lot to do within Tropicana - clubs, eateries, casino, shows, etc. We enjoyed our stay in AC because we decided to stay on the boardwalk. "

"Bathrooms were not clean. Room was not ready for check in. Overall it was a nice place with good food and amenities."

"Usually I never leave a bad review about something , but this hotel left us to feel absolutely unwelcome …the hotel itself looks nice , but the stuff who work in there don’t know how to talk nice with the customers or be friendly. The day of check in the lady at front desk was not nice friendly answering questions like we bothered her , the day of check out another front desk lady was talking with attitude as well and gave a feeling being bothered with the parking questions. A guy by a pool also looked bothered like we stoped him from playing with his phone and didn’t even say hi back and looked like didn’t really want to answer questions about pool attendance entrance and hours questions . That’s was a third time for us staying in Atlantic City , two times before we choose an Ocean resort hotel, but this time we decided to try this one but honestly regretted a lot . Please train your employees to be nicer with the customers smiles be friendly , i was surprised i felt unwelcome i was supposed to stay 2 nights but my expectations experience was so bad i ask my wife let's go home i don't feel welcome here and we decided to go home disappointed of the first time experience at the hotel not to feel be treated like we bother them so much with a basic questions about parking or pool or directions just normal questions about hotel . i could just say as a guest we just want to feel welcome not like we did lets get out lets go home , not uninvited the whole hotel was rude."

"Clean room amazing staff "

"We got to the Golden Nugget around 2:30pm and didn’t get our room until 5:30-6:00pm. We were told that the window for a room could be until 11pm!!! We had reservations for dinner and a a show starting at 7:00. So of. Course we had to rush. The only reason we got a room at that time was because my fiancé made it a point about our reservations. The”manager “ was able to help us after she had a “meeting” at 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon. As we got to the room the corridors all had the essence of Mariboro and Newports as an air freshener. We had a great night on the town afterwards. And we woke up to grab breakfast for $25.00 each which was hard hash browns and fake eggs. Needless to say we’d were not happy or pleased with the results. Borgata here we come!"
