"Lucky Stables is a lovely property. It was exceptionally clean and the kitchen in particular was well equipped. There were a couple of things though that could have been improved. The ‘dog wash station’ is just an outdoor tap with no attachment. It’s not possible to wash your dog here. It was incredibly muddy so this was an inconvenience. The house is beautifully designed around a ‘Stable’ theme but this is taken too far in the downstairs loo. A stable door gives too little privacy if sharing with friends. We understood that to maintain such a high standard there needs to be house rules but the number of notices around the property was a bit ‘shouty’. The log burner and hot tub were great."

"Although it is a beautiful big house I felt that for the price paid it lacked some refinements, i.e (1) there were no bedside table lamps in four of the bedrooms (2) the bedding was inferior as the quilts on the double beds were wafer thin (3) the fan in the family bathroom was very noisy so had to turn it off (4) there were no coffee/side tables in the lounge to put your drinks on (5) there was no wardrobe/hanging space for clothes in one of the en-suite bedrooms (6) Sink plug doesn’t work in kitchen sink BUT apart from these few gripes, which I hope is constructive criticism for you, we had a really lovely time celebrating my son’s 40th birthday and the house was very welcoming and in a good location. I would recommend it with the above changes. Many thanks."
