From the first moment we arrived we knew it was a special place. We received a warm welcome, got escorted to our room and give welcome drinks and cookies. Our room was immaculate. We had a beautiful view of the river and our own private Japanese garden and inside and outside onsen bath. We were provided with breakfast and dinner in the kaiseki style in our own room. The food was spectacular very fresh and full of local flavours. The service was impeccable, personal and friendly. The location was...

A beguiling charming traditional stay in an enchanted low rise part of Kyoto near the river and the bamboo forest. Host could not be more helpful or courteous.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Rooms just gorgeous, great location (catch the number 28 bus from Kyoto station) and good options for self-catering if you get a room with a kitchenette. There's a 24 hour Lawsons mini-supermarket 150m down the road.

Excellent service and great location if you want to go to Arashiyama. Room is also spacious. Breakfast is typical Japanese foods. Overall, we have a wonderful stay

This ryokan is even better than the photos and reviews. It is across the street from the train, so very convenient. All staff wete helpful. There is a casual yukata provided or you can chose a slightly nicer one, also complimentary. Slippers are provided. The onsen are easy to use, with mininal wait times. We absolutely loved it.

The property was very nice and the staff are so wonderful; they really go out of their way for the service. We had a relaxing stay, using the gender split onsen and also the Japanese bath tub in our room. The property was covered in scaffolding when we were there, they must be doing some external renovations. The view from our bath tub would've been nicer without the scaffolding. The breakfast in the morning was also great!

Ended up here as booked late but was very happy. Room ( just one traveller) was fine. Cleaning done meant you could see your face in the room as anything shiny was polished up. Full linen change every day. Very helpful staff and fantastic food (Japanese) I took/ended up with a meal option so got a 9 course meal of the highest quality every night. Superb. Close to a station ( is a few stops out of town as the only downside) and a major Shrine and the famous monkeys all in walking distance from...

We stayed in the Nohga Suite… WOW! The room was next level, the location was so convenient and the breakfasts at the restaurant were one of the best we’ve ever had. The rooftop bar was also 👌 Highly recommend!

Hotel Emion in Kyoto offered us a great all round experience for a decent price, the public baths are a good alternative to the onsets give the price, food and accommodation were decent. Location was really good- close to most things (20-25 ) min train ride.

Accommodation with half board option is a must without consideration. It takes our the needs to worry about where to eat for breakfast and dinner, then you can skip lunch for more time with site visits. The public bath is nice and clean. Staff are friendly.

Absolutely beautiful hotel , the service is great , there is a beautiful onsen and a delicious free snack bar . The hotel has a.well equipped gym and several laundry machines , it is not.very central but it is not far away either from the main attractions , plus there js a subway station only few meters away . Highly recommended it
