Breakfast was great, Onsen was very sufficient and had private and public areas which I appreciate.
Guests on our floor were loud and the walls are thin, but hey, some tourists are like that and it’s not really the hotel’s fault. Everything else was perfect.
Loved the ambiance, getting a Yukata which I wore throughout my stay. No lines for the Onsen which was very relaxing. Meals were served in private booths, also very relaxing.
The best hotel we stayed in in Kyoto and Arashiyama is beautiful. The room was amazing with comfortable beds and a patio. Everything was cedar and very clean. And the baths were great.
The staff were all super friendly. Very clean resort and rooms. Very generous with the food, you can order as much as you want for the kaiseki dinner. Breakfast was also very generous with the portions. Very close proximity to all the attractions, all within walking distances. A lot of free snacks and amenities in the public areas. There are private and pubkic onsens which are easily accessible and very comfortable. Great stay
An excellent way to experience a traditional ryokan close to Kyoto. The area is interesting to explore - the bamboo forest is within walking distance. Traditional meals were excellent. A wonderful experience.
Amazing clean rooms. Very spacious. Amazing location. It’s right next to the bamboo forest and it’s walking distance of all the food vendors down the street. This really is a top-tier hotel Onsen.
We really enjoyed our stay! Staff were friendly and facilities were very clean. Only thing that could have made it better is the position of the smoke room. When the doors would open/close, the smell of smoke would easily get inside which made the first half of the lobby smell like smoke. Other than this, we had a great time!
Lovely Japanese Inn perfect for sight seeing Arashiyama and with easy access to other parts of Kyoto and beyond as train station right on the doorstep. Amazing Japanese breakfast!
This hotel is convenietly located near the train station and walking distance from the famous Monkey Park Iwatayama, bamboo forest, and the nice shopping area of Arashiyama area.
AMAZING! We were instantly wowed when we walked into the property. Free ramen at night, free ice cream, private baths and amazing amenities were icing on the cake. Super easy walk into the gorgeous river area and town center made this resort even more attractive. Beauty all around you. Walk to the famed Bamboo Grove was about 15 mins and very picturesque. My parents and friends opted for on site massage and they absolutely LOVED it. It was so cute to see the guests walking around the resort in the resort provided pajamas and kimonos. We were sad that we only booked for 1 evening. My hubby wanted to come back and stay here for a week. Loved every minute we were at the resort.
