"Decent hotel with somewhat dated but large gym with pool. Big complaint was an annoying piston pressure-release noise every 10 minutes in my room. Told the front desk but nothing was done so I had to deal with it for a week. On check out they asked if everything was OK and I said mostly. They didn't care to ask any further."

"Room was beautiful, for $800 I would hope 1 night would be. The view was spectacular! Check in was terrible. We came off a cruise ship and arrived at approximately 9am. We understood we were not guaranteed early check in before 4pm as were dozens of other guests. They take your number to text you when room is ready. We didn’t get in early, and we never received a text. I finally stood in line for the 3rd time, and talked to a very helpful excursion person who actually got us into our room after 4pm. There is clearly not enough seating for all the people outside the registration desk and the desk personnel had stations for 3 or 4 more employees but I guess they didn’t have anyone to man it. People were frustrated and the employees were clearly tired of the people based on the 3 different employees I spoke with. They said housekeeping was short staffed and behind. We saw others in our group that got into their rooms but we waited for over 7 hours. We did go for a walk and lunch off the property, and we were told we could go to the roof top pool where the bar was open. We did go there, bar was not open. Room was great, no complaints. Unsure if I would stay again for the amount of money we paid."

"This is a very swanky, upscale hotel. Typical of fairmont style hotels, very small room with not a lot of room to spread out. Fridge is stocked with their items so you can’t put food leftovers in, or cool your own beverages. It was fine, but overpriced. We were comfortable there but would have rather paid that kind of money for a bigger room somewhere else."

"The front desk personnel were great. Extremely helpful and willing to provide top notch service. The room was spacious and clean and we even had a nice view of the street where we watched the bustling people go about their day. The location was convenient for shopping as well as lots of choices of eateries and bars. Would stay here again."

"Very clean, excellent location downtown, within walking distance of pretty well everything, restaurants, nightlife etc BC place is about a 25 minute walk for concerts. There's also an Irish pub located right outside the lobby to have a refreshing drink after travelling. The included hot breakfast is also an added bonus... We'll definitely be back..."
