They were kind enough to invite us into their home one evening to talk hunting and life in general. The property is gorgeous! Every morning we woke up to elk up on the hill side while we were enjoying our coffee on the porch. If you are needing a getaway do not hesitate to book this place. "Fantastic spot for a relaxing mountain getaway! The cabin is beautiful! Clean, comfy, and inviting. The peaceful sound of Chalk Creek lulls you to sleep at night, and I recommend taking your breakfast down to the creek side in the morning. We're looking forward to going back!"

"As other reviewers have noted, the cabin is over 100 years old and rustic. The floors do slope and the bathroom is on the small side. However, it was cute, clean, and provided everything we needed. Great location. We did bring a lawn chair as there is no place to sit other than the stools at the table and the bed. We also made a stop at the local hardware store and bought a nightlight for the bathroom as the light switch is inside on the far wall beside the sink, which took us a little while to...

"Really nice house nestled in between mountains with great views. Very quiet location. We didn’t see another car until we got to the main highway the whole time we stayed there. The house is midway between Gunnison and Crested Butte. The house is a little off the beaten path but very nice nonetheless. The only complaint would be no televisions in the bedrooms but it didn’t bother us at all. We would definitely stay here again."
