Nice cabin, great location on the river. Close to town. Garlic Mike’s Italian Restaurant is right next door and it was very good. Property manager was accessible and responsive. Kitchen had everything we needed. Check in was a breeze. Would stay there again.
Grandpa Cabin was great. We loved the location being right on the river and next door to Garlic Mike’s. The accommodations were very comfortable. Enjoyed the back covered patio during the day and fire pit by the water at night.
This property is not only true to the online description, but even better in person! The riverside view is incredible and you can't beat the outside seating, as well as the covered patio. The cabin is incredibly clean and well appointed. 10/10 recommend!
A beautiful cabin in a beautiful location! We enjoyed our stay so much. Cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Our hostess, Jenny, was very helpful and friendly! It is a minor thing, but we would have enjoyed the fireplace if we had been able. We would love to come back next year!!
Beautiful property. Gunnison river alone would be worth the trip. I The cabin was perfect.
Location was perfect! The walking paths are beautiful.
Wildlife was plenty, 2 large bucks, doe with fawns.
Thank you for such an easy and perfect “home” on the river!
We will stay here again!
The outdoor space can't be beat. We very much enjoyed sitting by the river each morning with our coffee.
You really need to just put a wall mirror and small shelves above the bathroom rosink
Grandpa’s Cabin was terrific for our family trip to Gunnison. The cabin is set up well. The place is super clean and well-maintained. There is one bathroom, one bedroom, and a loft with large, super-comfortable bed. With the pullouts, you could easily sleep six folks. This is right on the Gunnison River which is fabulous. Between the outside fire pit and the inside fireplace, we were both at peace and in comfort ! 😀
Cabin is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Gate is narrow if you have a trailer. Nice patio and outdoor seating. Living area open and comfortable. Bedroom is barely biger than the bed. Bathroom is small but servicable ( get rid of the vanity mirror cabinet so that a person can use the sink). Loft is fine but watch your head. Good pplace to stay overall.
Beautiful little cabin right on the Gunnison River. The entry for this cabin is immediately before Garlic Mike's if you're coming from Gunnison. This place had everything we wanted and needed to make our trip memorable. Fully equipped to include the quietest dishwasher on the planet. Beds were comfortable and the living room was a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring. The fire pit by the river was a favorite place of ours. Our only minor issues were dust accumulation on the fan upstairs and towels that had a bit of a funny smell. Both minor and certainly not anything that would keep us from coming back.
The place was amazing if you are a nature lover. It's right on the banks of the Gunnison River and you can fish right off the bank from the cabin. I will definitely be back with or without my boys! We hadn't had a family vacation since they were around 10/11 years old and they are now 31/32 years old. They also both loved it! They are ready to go back tomorrow becuase they love to fish whereas I don't. It's close to Gunnison and Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte which I took them to because I've been to Gunnison numerous times.
We really enjoyed being right on the river. The location is great, handy to get to so many great places in the area. The cabin was very comfortable. Highly recommend!
Great location and we really enjoyed the fire pit by the river. Only thing that would make it better is a new mattress on main floor bedroom. I didn’t notice it on other stays but this time I actually moved to the couch. I have stayed here multiple times. Will stay again!
We just stayed 5 nights at the cabin and it was absolutely amazing. Glad they did a remodel because not sure my husband and I would have liked the bunks or the 1/2 ceiling in the loft we would have made it work tho. It was great to have coffee in the mornings next to the river and watching all the boats going past. Love the cool nights and sitting by fire. Hope to go back next year. THANK YOU
What a charming place! So clean and the location cannot be beat. This cozy cabin feels like a hug when you walk in. We were there to drop our son off at Western University and it was such a lovely way to hang out together before that. Just a few steps to sit and watch the river, biking trails right across the street and a quick trip in to Crested Butte for some exploring there as well. I would highly recommend this lovely spot!
