Salida is known for its mild climate, plentiful outdoor recreational opportunities, and burgeoning arts scene, including the well-respected Salida Museum. It’s set beneath the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range to the south and the Sawatch Range to the northwest with its 15 peaks over 14,000 feet in elevation (which is why the region’s nickname is the “14ers Region.” The section of Arkansas River that runs near the town is world-famous for whitewater rafting and kayaking.
One of our guest said it best.. 'It is much prettier than the pictures lead you to believe. Hot tub is right outside the back door and fenced on one side for privacy. Property manager was super and responded quickly to all questions. We saw llama, deer and wild turkeys wandering around the neighborhood while we stayed. Easy access to both the Monarch ski resort and the town of Salida.

The Monarch cabin is a perfect place to get away from the busy Denver environment. The cabin is clean and well maintained and the Host, Leona, is courteous and responsive. A return trip is on the bucket list!
This property had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The river and fire pit were wonderful! The location is beautiful and we enjoyed going to the hot springs that wasn't too far away.

Enjoyed the location and many amenities offered. Lots of hiking trails close by. Drive into Salida very short so restraints easy to get to. Liked the semi secluded area where the cabin is located - very quiet.
Cabin was exactly as advertised. Spectacular place to spend a week basking in Colorado’s majesty. Check-in was the easiest process I’ve ever encountered with any rental property and the cabin was immaculate. 10/10, will definitely stay again!
We wanted to take a long weekend away from Colorado Springs and this was perfect! Hiked, explored, and just hung out. The property was exactly as described and the overstocked kitchen was very much appreciated as we had forgotten a few items!

This place was a gem. We enjoyed the accommodations, hot tub, and proximity to the mountains. Thank you
This sweet cabin was the perfect retreat for me for 3 nights. It was nestled near a stream with tranquil outdoor space, rockers on the porch, and a hot tub. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others as well as stay there again!
We loved this cabin! The location is excellent, close to both Salida and Buena Vista. We enjoyed town visits with our dog (dog parks and dog friendly eateries in both places) but just hanging out at the cabin, on the porch or by the creek, was also wonderful. We would definitely like to return to this lovely spot.
A great little cabin. We stay here every year on our annual ski and snowboard trip to Monarch. It is very convient as it is right between Salida and Monarch and our daughter loves the hot tub. It is clean and warm and comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and the bed is super comfortable.
Was perfect for our 25th wedding anniversary. Everything you could need. New couches in living area, huge front load washer and dryer. Hot tub and fireplace are a great addition as well.
We loved the cabin and cooked all our food thanks to the well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was amazing and it’s so conveniently located for tons of activities. Thanks again!!
The cabin location is great, midway between Salida and Monarch Mountain. The cabin is equipped with everything you need and more. In my experience no other VRBO property can compare in that regard. It was our second stay at this property and we will be back again God willing.
Great cabin not too far outside of town. The wilderness is really nice that surrounds the cabin. Very clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice on snowy night! Definitely would stay again! Thanks
Beautiful property, in our opinion photos didn’t do it justice, the drive out there was amazing as was the scenery at arrival. Definitely want to come back
Great place to stay, this is our 2nd time staying here and wont be the last. Nothing better than sitting in the hot tub on a brisk starry night. Such a lovely, well maintined property. So peaceful and relaxing
