"We've to put my undies?? "
We did like the hotel overall, can't complain. But when you stay a few nights, like we stayed five and you want to unpack your suitcase there were no wardrobe or drawers at all to put your clothes. Also this must be the tiniest fridge I have ever seen. You cant even put a water bottle in there. But otherwise we did like the hotel.

"Excellent Hotel Centrally Located"
A beautifully restored hotel in the heart of Adelaide - with both Asian and European design influences. Great attention to terrific service and the fine details that make a place feel special. Ask the staff best places to walk for best restaurants and shopping - Adelaide is great city if you know what areas are best to visit. Great starting place to begin tour of nearby outstanding wine regions.

"In the heart of Adelaide!"
The Hotel Metropolitan is a pub in the heart of the city, directly across Central Market and next to the theatre. Its location could not be better, as it is a short walk to public transport (the bus hub being nearby) and most other relevant places within the Adelaide CBD. Rooms are fairly basic with communal bathrooms/toilets (both unisex and separate genders) spaced around. Yes, the rooms may appear somewhat run down due to age, but I found my single room to be comfortable enough for the price and clean. It was also equipped with a fan and I found a heater in the wardrobe. Although I only ate there during my stay once, it appears to serve up a moderately priced modern menu with enough local pub favourites like beef schnitzel to satisfy most tastes. The Hotel Metropolitan also has a nice variety of bottled beers while also serving up a variety of more common options on tap (e.g. Carlton Draught, Coopers, etc). However, what makes this place a recommended spot for me other than its location were the staff. Everyone I interacted in from check in, to check out, to in between and after, were helpful and always up for a chat. Staff also graciously allowed me to store my bag in the office after checkout for a few hours, as I attended to the business I had come to Adelaide for without having to bring my bag along with me. Overall, the staff made the place feel familiar and friendly, like a 'true local' which happens to be in an entirely different state to your own home
