The hotel experience was the only low point on our Adelaide trip. The hotel has a policy that their housekeeping don't replace any toiletries, and guests need to go and ask reception. Unfortunately, as we stayed for a week, toiletries ran out. A couple of times there was a long queue at the reception. When eventually I got to the reception staff, she was very rude, impatient about me asking for the items. She also couldn't find hand soap, and asked me to come down again when she checked with housekeeping (didn't say she would notify me). I find this experience rather appalling. Their operation was wasting our precious holiday time, and their staff rude and unhelpful. Given that convenience and ease of stay are the prime factors for a city hotel, this hotel and their staff let us down. The only star left is for the gentlemen staff who managed to find the hand soap, after seeing how rude his colleague talked to us at the reception.
