Top 49th Street Beach Hotel Reviews
Villa Dubois Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed that it was a quiet shared space, there were no issues with any other people who stayed. It was easy to get into and a safe place to stay."
"Was in town from Dallas for CFP and my friend and I stayed at the Sophy for the first time. The service was great from the second we arrived. From the front desk to the bar area to the dining room, the staff were polite, professional, and attentive! I will definitely stay there again when I'm back in Chicago! "
"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! Neighborhood is nice and peaceful. Our host, Cornell was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again."
"We were so thankful for a nice place to come back to after long days of adventure in Chicago! An honest review: it was our first time in Chicago. When we arrived, we weren’t sure about the neighborhood and had trouble finding the house, since all the buildings looked similar and we arrived at night. Also, as noted, street parking is first come, first serve, and it was very full, which threw us off a bit—but it is listed as such in the VRBO booking. We also didn’t realize the entry code was for the door to the unit, not the front gate, but our host came right away to help. He was so kind, showed us how to get in, and gave us a quick tour. Once we figured out the neighborhood, parking, and entry code, it was easy peasy. The unit itself was small but very comfortable—perfect for our stay. The living room carpet could use a good cleaning, and the kitchen had a funny smell, but everything else was clean and welcoming. The beds were comfy, there were TVs in every room, and all the essentials were provided. The bathroom door didn’t close completely, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. The shower water pressure was on the lighter side, but the bathroom itself was very nice.We didn’t use the kitchen much aside from the microwave, but the necessities were provided. Just note it has a mini fridge, not a full-size one, and I don’t think there was a freezer. The small laundry area was very convenient and worked perfectly for our needs.Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Ch"
