“Vary nice”

This hotel was very nice and has a convenient location. They provided a free shuttle to our cruise dock on or departure date. We also liked the Italian restaurant in the hotel for both dinner and breakfast.

“Excellent Hotel and Location”

the Georgian hotel is in a excellent location, you can walk everywhere, short walk to pacific centre mall, robson street, granville station sky train, China town station sky train, BC Place front to the hotel, the bay, financial centre, hop on hop off, so you can go all the ways.. The parking service is good price 16 plus tax, so excellent stay in this hotel, definetely I come back in future.

Area recommendations
Downtown Finantial Centre, you can find all the ways to every where, shoppin in downtown or you can go to metrotown via skytrain, the location of Georgian have some issues about the womans un the corner georgia and betty street, fridays, many womans stay there just in the entrance of Sandman Hotel so beware about this..
When to go
well if you go on vacations the best is july to september but is more expensieve so you can go in spring.. is cheaper

if you come from airport use the sky train and stop in granvile city centre, walk to richards and there cotinue to betty, turn right in sandmand and in the middle of the street is the hotel

“Georgian court was fantastic”

Hotel was amazing so clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The beds were amazing, I have a bad back and slept through every night we were there. Going back there again in a few days and both my daughter and myself are looking foward to the beds . Is very close to sky train which will take you most places in Vancouver .

“Definitely Will Stay Again”

I was delighted with the Georgian Court. Staff were terrif -- friendly, courteous, very helpful. They made reservations for restaurants and cabs almost unbidden. The accomodations were excellent. The hotel is close to sports venues for those who care -- I don't -- and the nearby Chinatown has a few sketchy blocks. On the other hand, it is within easy walking distance of the Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden which is a must-see for any Vancouver visitor. All in all, a great hotel experience which I will certainly repeat on my next visit to Vancouver.

“Very nice experience”

My husband and I drove from Seattle to Vancouver to see a Sade concert. The hotel was easy to find, smooth check in and really close to the venue! Loved it and would go back again if opportunity comes up.

Area recommendations
Vancouver, the sports arenas. Very clean plenty of food or drink options close by as well as shopping.
Events and shows
Close to many local sport complexes and theaters.

“Wonderful Experience”

Very comfortable room and great location for branching out to downtown and Yaletown areas. Hotel staff is outstanding! Courteous, knowledgeable and accessible. Downside is restaurant staff seemed disorganized on both breakfast mornings. Definitely stay there again.

Go dining or drinkiing in Yaletown -- marvelous cuisine and great people-watching.

“Hidden gem, convenient to all areas of downtown”

The Georgian Court was a wonderful mix of old and new. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Joel. Complimentary water and shuttle service were a nice added value. You need to plan ahead and be a little flexible with the shuttle service, but I never had to wait longer than 10 minutes beyond what my preferred time selection was. I did rank the surrounding areas a 4 instead of 5 only because if you went too far in the wrong direction you might end up in a moderately dicey area.

Area recommendations
Victoria Island - allow a full day or more. The 3 hour tour was reasonably priced for what you received, but was not nearly enough time to enjoy the full experience of the island. Best value/best time was had at Whistler/Blackock tour from Land and Sea. What an amazing place. Wish we would have gotten over to Granville Island. Many told us it was a great place to eat and shop.
Getting around
Very pedestrian friendly community. I felt safe in all the areas surrounding our hotel.
Dining
Our favorities: The Winking Judge Bar & Grill - amazing burgers and fish & chips (located at Burrard & Smyithe) The Stanley Park Bar & Grill - the best fish & chips I've ever eaten The Pacifico Pizza Co - excellent pizza, especially the Capricciosa (ham, salami, artichokes, mushrooms & black olives) - a taste sensation (located at Burrard & Smyithe) Yaletown Brewing Company - my lamb tenderloin sandwich was an explosion of flavor; also many different local brews to taste.
Events and shows
Whistler/Blackrock Peak to Peak was an amazing value and awe-inspiring. I felt like I was almost close enough to touch heaven. My only regret was that we did not see any eagles, but we saw plenty of bears, deers and pheasants. Good reason to go back. We were told the eagles return to a location in Sqaumish area for counting each February.
Other
Avoid Horse Drawn Carriage ride in Stanley Park, limited value for the price and the tour guide we had was extremely rude. If traveling from U.S. order your canadian dollars before you travel. Right now the dollar is undervalued so you lose value on the purchase and conversion.

“From Seattle”

We went to Vancouver to see a play at the Queen Elizabeth Theater and found this hotel is only a block away. It's convenient to restaurants and shopping down town. The Hotel and staff couldn't be nicer. Thanks for a great stay!
