“Simply Awsome”
Hotel offers breathtaking views overlooking the town of phuket & also the ocean. treats its guests with politeness & charm. The hotel is far enough from the hussle & bussle of Phuket but close enough for u to not miss out on any of the action. Offers all the facilities of 5 star hotels. Read a few negative reviews about this hotel being situated on a hill. without the hill there are NO views.. So suck it up!! Besides there's a free shuttle service that takes u up & down the hill. Would we (honeymooners) stay here again? Absolutely, without a doubt! Enjoy ;-)
“Hotel of Smily faces "a warm stay"”
The Hotel very acceptable, clean, food is delicious with lovely restaurants, staff are so welcoming and the sea view is wonderful! The location of some rooms are very far from the reception i.e. too many stairs to follow... if you have an acceptable budget I advice avoiding what is called "superior rooms" and go for the sea view rooms. have a great stay!
“Overall great, many stairs no good for young children & elderly.”
We visited with 3 children - 20, 16 & 12 yrs of age. Good location but many stairs & levels made it hard for young children, elderly or those not so fit. Staff and service were excellent, food & drinks good value but less than 4 star quality & breakfast buffet just OK. Families on a lower budget will find good value & enjoy the 3 swimming pools over 3 levels. Excellent, great value, waterfront restaurants just across the road - with trips to the main shopping district ( 2km ) around 200 baht / USD $6 each way. Kellie & Paul Geelong/Melbourne Sep 2011
“No maintenance was done to the rooms”
The location for the hotel was extremely wonderful, but for the families, who have an infant, is difficult if they got a room in the upper floor and they don’t have an elevator in the hotel for the rooms. Also the toilet was damage and very old hotel even no maintenance to the rooms. The first room they gave was very bad and the WC was without water hose and the shower dish was in bad condition. But the service of the house keeping and reception was very good.
“Extremely unfriendly to unregistered Thai guests”
I invited a Thai friend to join me for breakfast at the hotel. Upon her arrival the hotel staff insisted that she surrender her ID while she was on the property and treated her as if she was a criminal or prostitute. She is one of the most honest, upright and dignified people that I know. This treatment was insulting and embarrassing to both of us. The hotel staff here are clearly programmed to assume the worst and treat their guest accordingly. I will not stay in a Novotel again.
“The best choice in Patong”
Good location, good service! If you like mountain climbing Novotel is your choice!
“can't wait to go back”
my wife and i had never travelled overseas together. we were both very nervous about the trip, but our accommodation we weren't worried about as much. we had many exchanges of emails, ie. checking booking, and booking transport to and from the airport. all emails were answered promptly, some only within minutes. the staff were all friendly and could not do enough for us. the meals at the restaurants were all fresh and very filling. the only disappointing thing was that we had to leave. top marks guys
“Family friendly”
The hotel has excellent facilities and very thoughtful staff. The breakfast bar was wonderful and the pools great for both adults and children. The resort is very close to the beach and reception are most helpful with trip bookings. There is a gym which was great to use as exercise outside is difficult wuith the heat. I used the treadmills daily. We had a magnificent holiday here and would recommend it to families and couples alike.
“Great place for a honeymoon”
This resort is sensational, on arrival we were greeted in a very friendly manner. Never had a problem with staff and we became very friendly with some of them. They even put peddles on our bed because it was our honeymoon. Rooms were big enough with great views of the ocean and mountains. The pics of the resort are very true to how the resort looked and feel. I thought the meals at the resort were pretty well priced for a resort and the same with the massages. The main part of town is a little stroll but only a minute or two by tuk tuk (you will definitely have no problems getting one). But there are plenty of shops and bars on the way to entertain you if you walk into the main part of town. ATM's and Exchanges are all within walking distance (5mins walk) and there is a seven eleven around the corner where you can get alcohol, smokes water stuff like that. We saw a lot of other resorts when our tour guide was picking up tourists from there motels and my wife and I agree that Novotel seemed to look the best. Biggest problem is the hill to the resort, definitely can work off lunch walking up it, but they will drive you up for free which helped when we had a big day of walking. But you do get use to the hill. Overall when we go back there we will be staying here again. No need to find anywhere else this had everything.
“Comfortable and ideal for couples and families”
Novotel's hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and were very kind to my three year old nephew. It is a 'resort' type hotel but comfortable and in a central location for Patong. However, there are more beautiful beaches and resorts further away this area on Phuket if you are looking for quieter areas of the island.
