“Winter get away”

A classic hotel with a great Canadian heritage. Spectacular location with fantastic views. This hotel doesn't hide from the cold, it entices its guests out into the great Rocky Mountain outdoors with a wealth of fun activities like horse drawn sleigh rides, skating on the lake, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, ice sculpture displays, etc., etc. Inside, the experience couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Rooms a little small, but cosy. A great stay all around.

“Expensive hotel.”

An expensive but good hotel. Extra-charge for self-parking and wifi. Kids can get a welcome package.

“Once in a Lifetime”

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities were excellent. The setting was spectacular. The staff went overboard to make the stay pleasant.

“Great place”

I travel around the world for business and this is one of the best hotels in my experience. The staff are all well trained and friendly. The location is great but it is a little bit far from the town of banff (~45 mins). Stay in there in off season so there are not too many tourist buses blocking the way. Everything is very expensive but you get different wonderful scenes of the lake in front of hotel from day to night.

“A very special stay”

The Chalet Lake Louise is an iconic Canadian hotel. It features on postcards and photography books constantly as it is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. The building itself is stunning, and the view is breath-taking. what made the stay for us though, were the fantastic staff who populate this hotel. We were treated to Fairmont Gold service throughout our stay, and it made what would have been a very special stop on our trip into a highlight. The hotel is pristine, and for the first time since arriving in the Rockies, we didn't even think about the heating in the room - it was the first time we weren't too hot or too cold! An absolute must if you are a photographer as having 24 hour access to the Lake from your hotel room is an experience to be valued very highly!

“Picture perfect”

When we checked in we found out we had been upgraded to the Fairmont Gold Floor. This was a true five star experience even though we had purchased a discounted, non-refundable stay. It made our trip.

“Excellent stay”

We had the most amazing stay at Lake Louise, we chose to enlope here and were treated like royalty, the staff were so helpful, the little extras made it a magical stay, we can not thank everyone there enough.

“King or Queen?”

The hotel was great as usual. I wasn't impressed that my Expedia reservation for a King size bed was turned into a Queen size when we checked in but that was the only downfall.
