“Banff Aspen Lodge”
We stayed one night at this hotel. It was extremely good value for money and a good breakfast was included. Room was comfortable and clean. Standard motel type room. No view. We didn't use the spa but it looked good. Hotel was only a short walk to the shops.
“Great Stay!!”
We stayed at the Banff Aspen Lodge in October 2008 and it was amazing!! We had a room facing the main street and it was very quiet. We had a view of the mountains from our balcony. The room was very spacious with a seperate bedroom from the living room. We could walk everywhere as it was very close to downtown. There is free underground parking as well. The only downfall with the parking is Im not sure how easy it would be to have a underground spot in the winter as it seemed very busy when we left early sat morning. Excellent breakfast in the morning that was included with our room. I highly recommend it. There is an assortment of cereal, toast, yougart fruit etc. Very healthy!! The larger hot tub was being renovated while we statyed but the smaller hot tub was very nice with a fireplace near it. All in all this hotel was amazing and I highly recommend it!!
“Really enjoyed our stay”
Hotel location was perfect as well as the views. The daily 'continental' breakfast was much more than we have ever seen or experienced. It was great. Staff were friendly, room was very comfortable. We will be back.
“Amazing Hottubs”
Great place to stay...close to downtown, shuttle to the hills come next door, underground parking and the hotubs were amazing. We had a superior room and it was rather small, but it was very clean and comfy beds. 2 thumbs up!!
“Comfortable, good value hotel. Recommended.”
Room was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and clean. Friendly, efficient staff. Well-positioned, a few minutes walk from the centre of town. The inclusive continental breakfast buffet was good: toast, cereals (excellent Granola!), muffins, a high-quality fresh fruit salad, yogurt and sometimes oatmeal/porridge. Minimal lounge area and no restaurant or bar, but this is not a problem as there are many close-by. We would certainly stay there again.
“Great location, newly renovated, but a very hot room”
We stayed for six nights on this occasion after spending 3 enjoyable nights here over Christmas. Again, the room was tastefully appointed, clean, of a good size and with a balcony. The hotel staff were curtious. The included breakfast had everything you'd need, i.e toast, cereal, fruit and a different muffin/cake selection each day. This time we used the hot tubs which were lovely. The only down side was having a room with two beds, situated at the front of the hotel. Last time we had a room with one bed and sofa which was lovely and quiet. Because our room was incredibly hot we had to have the balcony door open which meant we then had to listen to the traffic and occasional passer by. I'm not sure the staff could have done anything to cool our individual room down, we didn't complain anyway so it was our own choice to stay there. Mostly because I couldn't be bothered with the prospect of moving all our stuff. All in all, a positive experience and we'll probably stay there again when in Banff. Worth noting that the best rate I could get for the room was through Expedia. I emailed the hotel directly asking them to match the excellent rate I paid on the previous visit, but they couldn't come close to what Expedia were offering.
“Enjoyable Stay”
We booked a double bed room thinking that the beds were going to be side-by-side from our past experience. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the beds were located in partitioned rooms that afforded some privacy. The rooms were in good condition and clean. During our stay, the large pool was unavailable for repairs but the jacuzzi, wet and dry saunas were nice. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the main part of town.
“Trip to remember!”
The hotel was right as you feature got into Banff so a perfect location (even if we did miss it the first time we drove in!). Lovely interior with easy check in and friendly service, room was lovely and had recyling which was a nice eco-friendly feature. There is no lounge, however there's a gift shop and the breakfast room was nice and modern. Had a really nice stay, would stay again and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
“The Banff Aspen is a Great Hotel at a Great Price!”
I think the Banff Aspen Hotel is a great hotel! The Rooms are quiet, and very clean and the hotel is well located in the middle of Banff. The conitnental breakfast is wonderful. I have stayed there at least 3 times and will definitely go back again. The main hot tub was being repaired, but the smaller one was open and there was room to use it later on in the evening. Even though I paid for a standard Queen room - they gave us a room with a very nice sitting area which was a great surprise!
“Great Place to Stay”
We had a very nice experience at this hotel. Room was very large and bed was comfortable. A nice walking distance from town. Complimentary breakfast was a nice change from the ordinary - homemade granola and yogurt, homemade breads and muffins, fresh cut-up fruit. Nothing hot, but plenty of choices. Only downfall was that parking was limited, but again, we were able to find a spot each night. Hot tub area wasn't that nice and it seemed like they were doing construction work and perhaps adding an outdoor fireplace. Banff area was beautiful!
