“A great place to stay, very good Bali-Style quality Hotel.”

Very happy with our recenty stay. Comfortable beds, good bathroom (with bath), good choice of eateries with special events during our stay. Breakfast was very good, the gardens are stunning and overall the Hotel provided a very restful stay. To pick anything wrong at all, the toilets are a little slow to flush and if you have a room with an adjoing door, your neighbours TV volume can sometimes be heard and the air conditionaing (while very good) does make some background noise as with most hotels of this type - but overall, a really good experience. This Hotel is close-ish to Kuta and Seminyak, it has a wealth of shopping around it, both stall and boutique and is very well placed.

“Paradise in Bali”

This resort is phenomenal! Padma caters to your every reasonable desires and the staff is above reproach when it comes to guest relations and satisfaction. The rooms while simple, they exude elegance and functionality. Padma has two pools and both are awesome. We were partial to the Barong pool which has an island bar (sweet). The inclusive breakfast is unbelievable. It has both Eastern and Western style. It has 6 to 8 different kind of juices everyday. Classic English breakfast with baked beans one day then different kinds of German sausages in another. Fresh exotic fruits galore with different croissant/danish/muffin/waffles etc. I could write ad nauseum but I digress. Once again staff service is absolutely impeccable. Padma is a paradise within a paradise that is Bali.

“Lovely hotel”

I booked this hotel for my parents, first time in Bali. Very impressed. The only complaint would be that the meals in the hotel restaraunts were very expensive.

“Good if you are in to large accommodation places”

We learnt from the experience that we are not 'large resort' people. It also made us look at how we, the western society, present ourselves to other cultures. Although the place was clean and had many facilities to utilise, it was very 'western' and plays to the all you can eat type traveller – lots of buffet’s The shock was the breakfast which had plenty of options but was embarrassing to be from the western culture - 'looked like pigs at the trough’. The shock was when someone had bacon and eggs then put a number of donuts and porridge on the same plate. I must say after cutting my foot badly on the first day, it was great to have a clinic on site to have my wound dressed everyday. The shopping just outside the gates was very competitive to anywhere else we went and the local restaurants are worth the visit in comparison to the resorts restaurant that hardly served any Indonesian dishes. The next visit will see us in the hills near Ubud.

Area recommendations
I would highly recommend anywhere near Ubud or further north.

“Will go again”

All the staff were very helpful. Food was great and loved the extra benefits for booking a lagoon access room.

“Would go back, best location, great everything.”

Padma Resort has everything. Fantastic pools, food and service. The staff are so helpful and happy. Great location. We walked everywhere. Down the beach to Kuta and all around the markets and food/bars. The beds are great, thats saying something for Asia..

Area recommendations
All the area around Legion Beach is worth a walk around. You can walk the beach for miles, north and south. Great location to start any trip. Not as hectic as Kuta.
What to pack
Pack nothing. Everything you want or need is in the markets, cheaper, cheaper. Every one speaks English and they are very happy people. The bars are also great and the food sensational.

“What's a mistake.”

Today is my first stay at this hotel. It's the worst 5 stars (as Expedia stated) I ever stayed. First, they forgot to pick us up at airport. Had to call after 30 minutes wait, went through a series of questions to identify who we were (our phone bill will cost a fortune) and finally found our reservation10 minutes afterward. Although, we had the staff of Mulia Hotel in Jakarta called to confirmed our flight and arrival time this morning. Although, they couldn't find our reservation at first. I can go on and on all unlucky experiences we encountered today. Unfortunately, very disappointed and frustrated to continue on. However, Bali is something I have been dreaming to visit for a long time, but haven't get any chance to do so. Even I came to Jakarta many times or atleast once a year for exhibition. Over all I hated the hotel (not a great place to pay a 5 stars hotel rate), the surrounding area is horrible, and very ugly beach area. Nothing worth to see or do so far as dream at the moment.

“Not impressed..”

Our room was not available to us even though we booked it 6 months in advance. We were placed in another room just for one night, then had to move the next day and waste half a day (we only had 3 days in Bali) changing rooms. It was very inconvenient and dissapointing. Our rooms were not cleaned until after 4pm each day and were not done thoroughly at all,. will not recommend, sorry.

“Excellent service, beautiful surroundings”

My first time to Bali and this hotel has spoilt me I cant imagine finding a better hotel in Bali. The hotel and services are top quality and the surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. So many choices of restaurants within the hotel itself and so many more within walking distance out on the street. Would recommend to anyone wanting a real holiday whether single, couple, family or with friends

“Excellent quality hotel”

This is a good quality hotel with friendly staff. The standard of service was excellent and the staff veru friendly and engaging. The room was of a high standard and, although this is an older established hotel, has clearly been been renovated over time. The bathroom facilities were quite new and included a large shower and separate bathtub. The hotel is set in large grounds and is very quiet even though it is surrounded by entertainment venues. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would return to stay here.

Area recommendations
The best area for good quality dining and entertainment is Seminyak which is a few km North of the hotel.
