Amazing staff come here every year and get treated with the same respect

The swim up bar was great and a place to meet other visitors. The whole resort is kid friendly . They are doing construction in the main reception area so check in was not the best experience (as it was in a corner out of the breezeway). World Cup soccer was on when we visited which was fun to watch . However the other nightly entertainment was lacking . Just things in the lobby bar to do w kids and loud music. The food was outstanding . All restaurants were delicious and did not require reservations. Plenty of chairs around the pool .

This was the worse Hotel I ever stayed at. Room was dirty and a used bandaged was in the shower and even after complaining to management the bandage was never removed. It stayed until the last day and is probably still there. The floor was filthy to the point didn't walk anywhere bare foot. I only wanted what I paid for a clean nice stay. We were told to use the app which was completely useless, the food selection was sub par at best. It felt like that was a place for people to go and die. I expected a lot more from a Hyatt property.

JW Marriott Cancun -- a top end property with endless pools, poolside bars, great food, and direct access to the white sand beach. To give you an idea of how thorough the service is -- they employ a falconer to chase away other birds from the pool and beach area. I didn't see one seagull while there. What I especially appreciate is that they don't nickel-and-dime for minor things. Even a basic room -- quite reasonably priced -- gets free water bottles and coffee replaced each day. The bars, restaurants, and shops don't overcharge like other on-prem retailers at other hotels.
