The resort is large, and the rooms are spacious. I loved knowing that, as a VIP Silver member through Expedia, I received several benefits. However, the resort is not very clean. The pool was dirty, and outside by the beach, you can’t really swim because of all the seaweed, which is only cleaned once a week. The restaurants are always full, and it was impossible to make a reservation. There was really no nighttime show; I expected a bit more. The buffet food, however, is excellent and offers a great variety.

The staff and workers all were very pleasant. They all worked hard and put 100% effort to make the trip enjoyable. The one nightmare we had was with Palace Elite offices. Very pushy in trying to make you join their membership. They made a mistake with out billing which ended up overcharging our bill. We spend hours and hours of our vacation trying to clear up this bill and they still didnt take care of it.

A wonderful time spent at the SMC resort. On this trip we didn't do the spa. It was a bit noisy than we're use to but we still had a relaxing time. We stayed as preferred club and not only was the service excellent in preferred but all over the resort. We cannot complain about the meals or our drinks and watching the entertainment outdoors under the moon and stars made it special. One drawback is they try to sell you timeshare but they did not pressure us when we declined. So thumbs up for SMC.

Everything was as you would expect. The club… is it worth it? Just about, but we didn’t eat there for dinner - no atmosphere. Things to be improved: 1. Allowing people to leave their towels on a sun lounger who then disappear for 1/2 the day. 2. The parasailing company that operates next to the hotel on the beach - they drive their jet skis way too fast and way too close those in the water.

The place is maintained clean and the staff is great. The property needs major updates. Our room was nice but the shower door was falling and the main door to the bathroom wouldn’t lock. I paid for what according to Expedia was the best room in the property, so not was very disappointing to come to this. Another downfall is the hotel people trying to sell you activities and or timeshare, is almost like a flea market once you come to the lobby, very anointing to be approached every time for the same people.

Our stay at Seadust was disappointing and not as relaxing as we had hoped. The resort was very noisy, with constant banging sounds that made it hard to rest and enjoy our time. Shortly after arrival, we were approached by staff offering a discount and “VIP breakfast” in exchange for attending a 90-minute presentation for their Infinity Travel Club. We agreed based on the timeframe given, but it ended up taking half of our day. The sales team was very pushy, and once we declined, their attitude changed completely and felt rude and unwelcoming. The “VIP breakfast” did not feel VIP at all, the food was the same as the buffet, just served in a different location. Overall, the food quality throughout the resort was mediocre. We felt this experience was disrespectful of our time and it negatively affected our overall stay.
