"The Sands in Torquay is an outstanding resort. We were travelling the Great Coast Highway and I wish could stayed another 2 days but our itinerary was set. The accommodation was 5 stars plus and the golf course looked beautiful. The front desk staff, Rose and Tracey were incredibly helpful in making sure our stay was the best. I highly recommend The Sands."

"The reception staff at check in and departure were fantastic. The young lady who looked after our check out was able to offer us a discount after I listed off the issues with the room. 1. No skirt around the bed base 2. TV did not operate properly it would switch off after a few minutes. Apparently a known issue. 3. Room was not serviced even though extra towels and pillows were delivered. Apparently you need to put out a swing tag to have the room serviced. 4. The pillows initially supplied had zero support whereas the extra ones supplied were fantastic supportive pillows. 5. Getting a drink at the bar was nearly impossible as staff kept disappearing out the back for 15-20 minutes at a time. 6. There was a pile of sawdust at the bottom of the bathroom door from where it rubbed. 7. The initial towels supplied were almost threadbare whereas the extra towels supplied when requested were fantastic fluffy towels. 8. The 2 prints on the walls were hung on an angle that was visible without using a level. Other than that the location is fantastic and if these few things were taken care of we’d stay there again."

"The hotel is in easy walking distance to the airport terminals. Unfortunately there was no soap in either of the dispensers in the room. You need to book early for the shuttle to the terminal otherwise you’ll find yourself having to leave 20 minutes early than necessary which is not so good at 6.35 am."

"Pool and spa were great our apartment was clean. You could not connect the Tv to our Netflix was coming up that there is no internet connection so that was really disappointing. Distance to the main street was only a 15 minute walk. Only disappointment was, when we checked in we were told that check out was changed from 11.00 am to 10.00 am and world not extend the check out to 11.00am even though check in is at 3.00pm and they had plenty of time to clean after we checked out."
