"Superb breakfast and so many very attentive staff in a most charming space. The hotel room was impeccably clean and appeared freshly painted. The hotel is in a very grand traditional style, and the staff were always super courteous and full of useful information. Ilenya and Yuliya to name two, but really the whole team are excellent. Bike hire on site, situated right next to the boulevard and the beach, close to town but the quieter end. A perfect stay and ideal base for exploring Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio of course. I just marked the stars down for amenities as I wasn’t aware the pool would be closed (empty in fact). Having said that, it is probably still out of season and would’ve been too cold. Well done All, looking forward to returning some day. "

What stood out the most, however, was the breakfast. It was without question the best breakfast we’ve had during our travels—an incredible selection, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.
