"This was the second time that we have stayed at Hughes Hideaway. Despite being on the same property as the main house- you would never know anyone else was around. It feels quite secluded and quiet. The property itself was spotless with all amenities available. Two bedrooms with bathroom, living/dining area and full kitchen plus a covered outdoor area to sit in and BBQ. We were able to take our cat who lounged by the window all day watching the birds. If taking a dog, be mindful there are no enclosed yards but it was easy to take our cat on her leash for a little walk without any disruption. I think the only thing we noticed this time that could have been improved is perhaps a fan for the 2nd bedroom to circulate the air. I'm glad my son thought to bring his own little evaporative cooler that normally sits in his bedroom otherwise I think the kids might have been sleeping in the living area on the warmer nights. The aircon works really well to keep most of the house cold with ceiling fans in the main bedroom and living/dining area to help. Great location- 10mins drive from either Bright or Myrtleford with a brilliant lunch at the Deer and Emu farm 3km down the same road the property is on. Will definitely stay again when back in the area"

"Rooms smelt amazing when we arrived very clean and the vibe at Hara House was really nice. The pool and spa were great, and there’s a hidden walking track along the river just behind the property which was a bonus. Bit of a shame the tiki bar wasn’t open because cocktails by the pool would’ve been perfect, but overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay again."

"Ended up scoring an upgrade to a beautiful Alpine Cabin - such a gorgeous cabin and awesome view of the river! Easy walking distance to the kids splash park, playground and Bright town centre. Coffee and breaky at Snowgum Coffee van was 10/10 - friendly service and perfect coffee, my daughter devoured the freshly baked muffin and my bagel was delicious! "
