"The lobby is impressive, but the hallways and rooms need to be updated. The beds were very comfortable and quiet. A very convenient location next to the train station."

"Very helpful and friendly staff. They were able to fix a sandwich for us on our late arrival. Very good breakfast and the evening meal we had was excellent. Clean and quiet room. We didn't use the parking as we arrived by train. Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station."

"A lovely hotel in a perfect setting by the river. My only quibble is that one morning at breakfast two staff members had a disparaging conversation about a colleague within earshot of guests. Bar prices were a bit on the high side but other than that The Palace was terrific."
